   Is that Charlotte Rampling wrapped in a shower curtain with pool slippers? Why? Has she blundered into some adaptation of "The Night Porter", where her masochism turns to sadism, directed at us?

   And another thing...who is the bearded character in the hipster suit, choker rose and clown shoes? Surely someone's driver? Can he really be a nominee, or presenter? If the former, he obviously has concluded there's no chance of winning, but since I gather it's an honour just to be nominated, you'd think he'd dress like a grown-up. O' how simple it once was for the chaps - simple dinner suit. David Niven, Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, you must be spinning now....
